Darrick Lucero has coached at many different fine institutions as an Assistant Coach, such as his current post as Head Coach at Santiago Canyon Junior College Women’s Volleyball here in Orange. Other Asst. Coaching positions include: UCLA, CSULB and GOLDEN WEST JC.

Coach Lucero has also held many Head Coaching positions, such as Loyola HS, MARINA HS, VANGAURD COLLEGE and MATER DEI HS

Pope comes to HBC from University of the Pacific where he was with the team for two seasons working with the setters and primary passers and outside hitters. Having coached Alexa Edwards-Lumb who in her senior year earned WCC player of the Year and All American accolades. 

Before Pacific, Pope had two successful seasons as an assistant coach at Long Island University. While there, he helped guide LIU to a NEC Conference title.
